Mumbai / Hyderabad:
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has created a political buzz in Maharashtra, which is preparing for elections. He urged the people to vote for Congress and its allies to enjoy the benefits of six guarantees, similar to those in Telangana. The Chief Minister attended several public meetings to support candidates from the INDIA alliance in Maharashtra.
At a public meeting in Rajura Assembly constituency, Revanth Reddy promised that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) would implement six guarantees if they come to power in Maharashtra. He encouraged Congress workers to work hard to ensure the MVA’s victory. Highlighting achievements in Telangana, he said, “We have already started implementing our six guarantees. For example, free bus travel for women has benefited 1.10 crore women, and we are giving cooking gas cylinders for just Rs 500. Additionally, 200 units of free electricity have been provided to 25 lakh families.”
The Chief Minister emphasized unity across states, saying, “We are all like siblings who were once part of the Hyderabad State. Even though we are now separate states, we are still one family. This election is about moving forward together.” He also mentioned historical figures like Shivaji, Ambedkar, and Phule, noting their contributions. Reddy took a jab at the BJP, saying, “The BJP is losing its hold in major cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad. Soon, Mumbai will also stand with the MVA.”
Revanth Reddy criticized rival leaders Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, calling them “puppets of Gujarat.” He accused them of betraying Maharashtra’s interests and claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and industrialist Adani were trying to benefit Gujarat by focusing on Mumbai. He challenged the Prime Minister, saying, “In just 10 months, the Congress government created 50,000 jobs in Telangana. Can you do the same in Gujarat in a year?”
