A retired headmaster named S Sundaramma has been dealing with a cheating case. The police station is now trying to close the case due to a lack of evidence. Sundaramma, who is 67 years old, filed a complaint against a woman named N Lakshmi Swaroopa. She accused Swaroopa of taking 40 tolas of gold from her and not returning it.

According to Sundaramma, Swaroopa took 20 tolas of gold in August 2011 and another 20 tolas in 2018. Swaroopa claimed that she needed money urgently and promised to return the gold. However, she never returned it and even falsely stated to the police that she had already given it back.

Initially, the police did not take action on Sundaramma’s complaint, so she had to go to court. After the court’s direction, the police finally registered the case. However, they demanded more evidence from Sundaramma to prove that she had given the gold. She provided a white paper with Swaroopa’s signature, but the police said it was not enough and asked for CCTV footage or a bond paper.
