In Hyderabad, several government officials have resigned following the defeat of the BRS in the elections. On Monday, the OSDs (officers on special duty), advisers to the government, chairmen of various corporations, and nominated heads all stepped down.

One of the resignations came from Prabhakar Rao, who was previously serving as the Special Intelligence Bureau OSD. Rao had retired as Intelligence IG and was appointed as OSD by the previous government for a period of three years. However, he decided to resign due to the changed circumstances.
