Heavy rains have caused flooding in different parts of Telangana, including the Warangal district. One incident occurred in Warangal’s Bhadrakali pond, where the water overflowed and caused erosion towards Pothana Nagar. This has caused panic among residents of Pothana Nagar and Saraswati Nagar colonies.

Despite the decrease in rainfall, the floodwater continues to flow heavily into the Bhadrakali pond, indicating erosion of the pond embankment.

The Municipal Commissioner visited the damaged Bhadrakali pond to assess the situation and examine the embankment. Residents in low-lying areas have been alerted to the situation.
