    The Endowments Minister Konda Surekha has written a letter for the third time to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) asking for permission to telecast the celestial wedding of Lord Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy at Bhadrachalam on April 17, during Sri Ramanavami.

    In her letter, the Minister requested a relaxation of the election code to allow people to watch the Kalyanam. She mentioned that the live telecast of the event has been happening for the past forty years and highlighted the significance and history of the temple. The celestial wedding is scheduled for April 17 followed by Pattabhishekam on April 18.

    Endowments Commissioner Hanumantha Rao mentioned that arrangements are being made to accommodate the large number of devotees expected to attend the ceremony at Bhadrachalam. Inspections of arrangements were conducted at the Mithila Stadium where Sita Ramachandra Swamy’s Kalyan Mahotsavam celebrations will take place.
