A two-day seminar titled “New Criminal Laws: An Era of Transformation of the Criminal Justice System” successfully concluded on Sunday, November 10. The event featured discussions on significant topics such as Zero FIR, e-FIR, admissibility of evidence, and the role of Artificial Intelligence in the justice system. Esteemed speakers shared their insights on these transformative aspects of criminal law.
As part of the seminar, a special volume of a book, comprising articles by distinguished authors, was launched. The book was unveiled by Hon’ble Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka of the Telangana High Court, along with Prof. (Dr.) V. Balakista Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) and professor at NALSAR University. Other prominent figures, including Prof. (Dr.) B. Vijayalaxmi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Osmania University, and Dr. N. Ram Prasad, Chairman of the Board of Studies, Department of Law, Osmania University, were also present. The plenary session saw thought-provoking contributions from experts across various fields.
The valedictory function on Sunday featured Prof. Dr. N. Venkateshwarlu as the chief guest, who elaborated on various sections of the new criminal laws. Dr. D. Radhika Yadav, Principal of Osmania University College of Law, served as the guest of honor and highlighted the importance of these new laws. Seminar convener Dr. M.V. Chandramathi, Principal of Anantha Law College, presented a summary of the seminar’s proceedings, while Dr. N. Ram Prasad shared a special message with attendees.
Distinguished guests, including Advocate K. Balakrishna and Mr. Ravi Anantha, Correspondent of Anantha Law College and Viswabharathi College of Law, graced the occasion and contributed to the event’s success. The seminar provided valuable insights, and participants left with a wealth of knowledge about the evolving landscape of criminal law.
