Hyderabad: The once-booming real estate market in Hyderabad has seen a significant slowdown, leaving many real estate agents struggling to make ends meet. As deals dry up, a large number of agents are now seeking alternative employment to support their daily needs.
Many agents have started applying for jobs in DTCP (Directorate of Town and Country Planning) and HMDA (Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority) ventures, hoping for a stable income. Others have shifted to jobs in supermarkets, medical stores, and other sectors to secure their livelihoods.
Just a year ago, when the real estate market was thriving, these agents earned considerable profits acting as middlemen between buyers and sellers. With booming property sales, many enjoyed a lucrative period, quickly closing multiple deals.
However, with the market slowdown, most agents are finding it hard to close even a single deal in the past six months. As opportunities dry up, they are left without a reliable source of income, forcing them to turn to different professions to make a living.
