    The Rashtrapati Nilayam in Hyderabad, which is the President’s official retreat, is set to become a popular tourist destination. The heritage building, which has a rich history that showcases India’s freedom struggle and notable personalities from different fields, will be open to the public throughout the year for the first time. Visitors can explore the Presidential Wing, dining area, and traditional Cheriyal paintings of Telangana while strolling through the underground tunnel that connects the Nilayam Kitchen to the Dining Hall. The tunnel walls also feature graffiti that illustrate village life.

    In addition to learning about the history of Rashtrapati Bhavan and Rashtrapati Nilayam, visitors can also gain insight into the Constitution and get a glimpse of the role and responsibilities of the President of India. The scenic gardens of Nilayam, including the Rock Garden, Herbal Garden, Butterfly Garden, and Nakshatra Garden, will also be open to the public. Visitors can scan QR codes for information on fruits, trees, and flowers.

    To visit Rashtrapati Nilayam, visitors can book their slot online at http://visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in or use the walk-in booking facility at the Reception Office. The Nilayam is open six days a week (except Mondays and government holidays) from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm, with the last entry at 04:00 pm. A nominal registration charge of Rs 50 per person for Indian nationals and Rs 250 per person for foreign nationals will be applicable. Basic amenities such as parking, cloakroom, wheelchairs, café, souvenir shop, restrooms, drinking water, and first aid facilities will be available for visitors.
