Rashtrapati Nilayam, a vast and beautiful property located in Hyderabad, has opened its doors to the general public. On the first day of its opening, visitors were seen taking selfies with the Presidential buggy and exploring the knowledge gallery. The staff at Rashtrapati Nilayam mentioned that due to ongoing school exams, only a few visitors were present. However, they are expecting a huge crowd on weekends as all slots are booked, especially for Sundays. The premises will be open throughout the year, except on Mondays and Government holidays, from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm, with the last entry at 04:00 pm. Visitors can book their slot online at http://visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in and a nominal registration charge of Rs 50 per person for Indian nationals and Rs 250 per person for foreign nationals will be applicable.

Local residents have expressed their excitement at being able to finally visit the entire premises of Rashtrapati Nilayam freely. Previously, they could only view the lush verdant gardens and the iconic Heritage Bungalow through glass panes. Visitors are particularly impressed with the new underground tunnel that connects the Nilayam Kitchen to the Dining Hall and the Cheriyal paintings on the walls. The Central Government’s decision to open Rashtrapati Nilayam for the general public has been well-received by locals who have been eagerly waiting for this opportunity.
