Doctors at the Srinivasa Kidney Centre in Warangal successfully performed a critical surgery on a woman named Korutla Swaroopa. The surgery involved removing a three-and-a-half-kilo tumor from her stomach. Swaroopa had previously sought help from corporate hospitals but found no solution. Dr. Ramprasad Reddy, a noted Urologist, explained that the surgery was challenging due to the tumor’s location near the right kidney, liver, and intestines. The procedure, which lasted three hours, took place on July 31 and the patient was discharged on Monday. Dr. Ramprasad Reddy also mentioned that the hospital only charged Rs 70,000 for the surgery, while other hospitals would have charged Rs 3 lakh. Dr. Upender, Dr. Akash, and Dr. Samrat assisted in the surgery.
