Chevella MP Ranjith Reddy has resigned from the BRS party and joined Congress. In his resignation letter to Chief Minister KCR, Ranjith Reddy thanked for the chance to serve the people of Chevella.

This move comes as part of shifting political dynamics in the joint Rangareddy district, with Congress aiming to gain control. Along with Ranjith Reddy, three Zilla Parishad chairmen from the joint districts have also switched to Congress.

Reports suggest that BRS MLAs Prakash Goud and Yadayah have met with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, while MLAs Rajasekhar Reddy and Malla Reddy have talked with Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
