On Saturday, Muslims in the Warangal district celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. People gathered at mosques to offer special prayers and hugged each other afterwards. The sighting of the crescent moon marks the beginning of a new month, and this is what Prophet Muhammad used to wait for.

The streets were full of people celebrating and spreading religious fervour. Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar also greeted the Muslim community on this occasion.
