BJP leader and Goshamahal MLA candidate, T Raja Singh, has been booked by the Mangalhat police for allegedly making a hate speech towards a particular community during a program in Maharajgunj earlier this month. The case was registered under Section 125 of the Representation of the Public Act 1951 based on a video clip that went viral on social media platforms.

The police took suo-motu action after coming across the video clip of Raja Singh making the alleged hate speech during a party meeting at a community hall in Maharajgunj. Mangalhat Sub-Inspector Shaik Aslam filed a complaint stating that the MLA delivered a hate speech at Agarwal Bhavan in Maharajgunj.
