    Hyderabad: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD Hyderabad) has predicted heavy rainfall in the state over the weekend due to the influence of the monsoon winds. Heavy rainfall alerts have been issued for 8 districts in North Telangana. Asifabad, Manchiryal, Nirmal, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Warangal, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Siddipet, Rangareddy, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri districts are expected to receive heavy rainfall. The recorded rainfall ranges from 115.6 to 204.4 millimeters. Another 7 districts have received moderate rainfall ranging from 64.5 to 115.5 millimeters.

    On Friday night, Hyderabad and its surrounding districts experienced heavy rainfall. Bandlaguda Jagir, Rajendranagar, Chandrayangutta, Kukatpally, Hayathnagar, Alwin Kalani, KPHB Colony, Nizampet, Bachupalli, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Secunderabad, Boyinapalli, Alwal, Thirumalagiri, Begumpet, Mareddpalli, Chilakalaguda areas were affected by the heavy rainfall. Waterlogging was observed on many roads.
