Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has responded to a notice from Delhi Police regarding his statement about women being sexually assaulted during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He sent a four-page preliminary reply which questioned the process adopted by the authorities and the sudden urgency after a 45-day delay. The Congress leader gave a 10-point reply and sought eight to 10 days to give a detailed response to the questions posed by Delhi Police over his January 30 remarks. A police team headed by Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Sagar Preet Hooda visited Rahul Gandhi’s residence at 12, Tughlaq Lane, for the third time in five days. The team was able to meet the Congress leader after two hours, and he said he needs some time to compile the information. Gandhi assured the police that he will give the information soon so that justice can be given to victims. The police had asked him to provide details of the victims so that security could be provided to them.
