Rahul Gandhi, former MP of Wayanad, has been removed from the Lok Sabha due to his conviction in a 2019 defamation case. In response, he updated his Twitter bio to include “Dis’Qualified MP” in the description, which has been seen by his 23 million followers. The Congress party plans to protest the disqualification, but their request was turned down by the Delhi Police due to restrictions under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code regarding traffic and law and order in and around Rajghat.

During a conference on Saturday, Rahul Gandhi stated that he will not apologize for his actions and is not afraid of any punishment, including imprisonment. He also mentioned that he witnessed fear in PM Modi’s eyes. The disqualification has sparked controversy, with opposition leaders denouncing it as a political vendetta.
