Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has emphasized that despite their large population, OBCs (Other Backward Classes) are not involved in the decision-making process at the bureaucratic level. He believes that both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao do not want to make the caste-census public. Rahul Gandhi has stated that if the Congress comes to power, they will prioritize conducting a caste-census.
During a public meeting in Peddapalli on the second day of his Bus Yatra, Rahul Gandhi reiterated that out of the 90 bureaucrats running the Union government, only 3 are OBCs and they hold insignificant positions. He highlighted that these three officials are not involved in major decision-making processes related to funds flow. India has a budget of 44 lakhs, but OBC officials have decision-making powers for only 5% of the funds.
Rahul Gandhi has alleged that the BRS, BJP, and AIMIM parties are collaborating with each other in the upcoming Assembly elections. He urged voters not to waste their votes by voting for the BJP and MIM, as it would essentially mean voting for the BRS. According to him, these three parties are supporting each other.
