Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed confidence in the upcoming assembly polls. He stated that the Congress is likely to win in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, possibly win in Telangana, and have a closely contested race in Rajasthan, which the party believes it will ultimately win.
Gandhi also mentioned the controversy surrounding BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri’s derogatory remarks against BSP leader Danish Ali in the Lok Sabha. He claimed that the BJP uses such tactics to divert attention from the demand for a caste census. Gandhi emphasized that the opposition is uniting and working together, and he believes the BJP will be surprised in the 2024 general elections.
During a conclave organized by the Pratidin Media Network of Assam, Gandhi criticized the concept of ‘One Nation, One Election’, calling it a distraction strategy employed by the BJP. He highlighted the pressing issues in India such as wealth concentration, significant wealth inequality, high unemployment rates, unfair treatment of lower caste individuals, OBCs, and tribal communities, as well as rising prices.
In a tweet, Rahul Gandhi shared a link to the live coverage of the conclave organized by Pratidin Media Network.
