Hyderabad: New Aerospace Facility to Boost Telangana’s Industry
Raghu Vamsi Aerospace, a company specializing in manufacturing critical aircraft engine components and defence products, is expanding its operations. The foundation stone for its new manufacturing facility was laid by State IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu at Shamshabad Aerospace Park. The upcoming facility, which involves an investment of Rs 300 crore, will cover 2,00,000 square feet and is expected to create 1,200 direct jobs within the next three years.
This advanced facility will help the company fulfill Rs 2,000 crore worth of existing orders. Minister Sridhar Babu highlighted that this expansion would further strengthen Telangana’s position as a leading global aerospace and defence hub.
Raghu Vamsi Aerospace is a key supplier for major aircraft engine models, such as the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 MAX. The company collaborates with international aerospace leaders, including GE Aerospace, Rolls-Royce, Pratt and Whitney, Safran, and Honeywell. These partnerships involve providing precision-engineered components critical to aviation innovation.
During the event, Minister Sridhar Babu praised the aerospace ecosystem in Hyderabad, particularly the Aerospace Special Economic Zone (SEZ), which is home to major companies like Tata, Bharat Forge, and Adani. He emphasized the crucial role of over 1,500 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in supporting this ecosystem, providing thousands of skilled jobs in the region.
To encourage industrial growth, the minister announced new incentives under Telangana’s MSME policy. This initiative aims to attract industries to tier-2 and tier-3 towns, further boosting development across the state.
The foundation-laying ceremony was attended by several prominent figures, including Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Director Vamsi Vikas, DRDO Missiles and Strategic Systems Director Rajababu, CII Chairman Dr. Sai Prasad, TGIIC MD Dr. E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Telangana Aerospace and Defence Director P. A. Praveen, and TGIIC CEO Madhusudan.
