Two Drug Peddlers Arrested in Hyderabad
The Rachakonda police on Friday arrested two individuals involved in drug peddling. The accused were found using bike taxi services to deliver drugs to their customers.
The suspects, Mahesh (28) and Mahipal (19), are originally from Rajasthan but had been residing in Safilguda, Hyderabad. The police seized 190 grams of heroin and other materials from them, with a total estimated value of Rs 23 lakh.
According to Rachakonda Police Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu, the duo was procuring drugs from a Rajasthan-based supplier named Shamshuddin. They would then sell these drugs to local customers in Hyderabad.
Recently, the suspects purchased 200 grams of heroin for Rs 1 lakh and began selling it at a significantly higher price. To avoid suspicion, they collected payments online and carefully packed the drugs before using bike taxi services for delivery.
A special team has been formed to track down Shamshuddin, the supplier, and other customers who are currently absconding. The investigation is ongoing.
