Rachakonda Commissioner Launches Uniform Diet Program for Students
The Rachakonda Police Commissioner, Sri Sudheer Babu IPS, took part in a special event aimed at improving the nutrition and education of students in Telangana. The program was launched at the Mahatma Jyothibapule Socially Integrated Boys’ Home School in Batasingaram. During the event, Sudheer Babu lit a ceremonial lamp and released a handbook detailing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the initiative. This marks an important step in the Telangana government’s efforts to ensure the well-being and future of its students.
As part of the program, the government has increased the food budget for students by 40% and raised cosmetic allowances by 200%, a change happening for the first time in eight years. Commissioner Sudheer Babu explained that proper nutrition helps students grow stronger and more resilient. He encouraged students to face challenges in life, saying, “Just as a seed grows strong through challenges, you too can achieve great heights by overcoming difficulties.”
The government is now providing students with nutritious meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The goal is to ensure students are healthy while pursuing their education. Sudheer Babu motivated students to use this opportunity to dream big and work toward careers such as becoming doctors, IAS officers, or IPS officers.
The Commissioner also emphasized the importance of regular school attendance. He highlighted the improved facilities in government schools, which now rival those of private institutions. He urged students to aim for excellence, achieve high grades, and actively participate in special evening classes designed to help them succeed.
In addition, Sudheer Babu appealed to parents to value education and ensure their children attend school. He asked them to make full use of the programs offered by the government for their children’s academic growth. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to improving both the health and education of young people in Telangana.
