Serilingampally, February 16 – The residents of Shilpa Valley Colony in Serilingampally have raised concerns over pending infrastructure works, prompting State Public Finance Committee Chairman Arikepudi Gandhi to assure immediate action to resolve their issues.
On Sunday, a group of Shilpa Valley Colony residents met with Chairman Gandhi at his residence in Vivekananda Nagar and submitted a petition outlining key civic problems and development needs in the colony. Gandhi responded positively, promising swift measures to address their grievances.
Key Issues Highlighted by Residents
The residents expressed their gratitude to Chairman Gandhi for the existing infrastructure improvements in the colony but emphasized the need for urgent attention to several incomplete projects, including:
• Completion of CC roads in the colony.
• Construction of floodwater canals and underground drainage (UGD) systems.
• Enhancement of the drinking water supply system.
• Installation of a proper street lighting system.
The residents urged authorities to expedite these works to improve the livability and safety of their neighborhood.
Government’s Commitment to Quick Resolution
Addressing the residents’ concerns, Chairman Arikepudi Gandhi assured that:
• The unfinished roads in the colony will be completed at the earliest.
• Floodwater drainage and UGD system development will be taken up soon.
• The road construction work will be carried out in phases and made available to the public as quickly as possible.
• Water supply improvements will be prioritized, with instructions given to Jal Mandal officials to ensure an uninterrupted and sufficient supply of fresh water.
Gandhi also directed officials to resolve low water pressure issues and increase supply hours where needed. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring basic amenities for the residents and stated that he would personally visit Shilpa Valley Colony soon to monitor the progress.

Residents welcomed Gandhi’s assurance and are hopeful that the long-pending infrastructure issues will be addressed soon, bringing much-needed relief to the community.
