The funds will be used to permanently address the gap between Khammam Lakaram Tank Bund and Mini Lakaram. The work is progressing quickly. A program was undertaken to separate sewage and rainwater through an underground pipeline for about 1.8 kilometers at a cost of Rs.10 crore.

The accumulation of rainwater and sewage in the area has caused many people to fall sick over the years. Minister Puvwada will solve this problem by using an under drainage pipeline. The separated sewage will be treated at the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Prakash Nagar, while the rainwater will directly meet in Munneru.
