Protests Ignite After Hidden Camera Discovered in Women's Hostel at Gudlavalleru Engineering College

A serious incident occurred at Gudlavalleru Engineering College in Andhra Pradesh, leading to widespread protests. A hidden camera was found in the washroom of the women’s hostel, causing major concern and anger among the students.

The discovery was made on Thursday evening when several female students noticed the secret cameras. This discovery led to the leak of about 300 photos and videos, which quickly triggered outrage. As a result, students began protesting around 7 p.m. that evening, and the protests continued throughout the night and into the next morning. They demanded justice and action against those responsible for this invasion of their privacy.

In connection with the incident, Vijay Kumar, a senior B.Tech student staying in the boys’ hostel, was arrested. The police also seized his laptop as part of their investigation. Reports suggest that the leaked photos and videos were being shared, and some students may have even purchased these recordings from Vijay Kumar.

The protests did not just involve students; local residents also joined in, condemning the violation of privacy. The police are continuing their investigation to find out who installed the cameras and who else might be involved in distributing the videos.
