Protest Against MLC Teenmar Mallanna for Remarks on Reddy Community
A protest was held in Hyderabad on Thursday against Congress MLC Chinthapandu Naveen, also known as Teenmar Mallanna. The protestors demanded action against him for making insulting comments about the Reddy community during a recent public meeting for Backward Classes (BCs) in Warangal.
The Reddy Association of Quthbullapur led the protest at Gajularamaram Cross Roads. The protestors strongly condemned the remarks, burned an effigy of the MLC, and urged the Congress party to remove him. They also called for the cancellation of his MLC post and warned of legal action if he continued making such statements.
“The MLC made offensive remarks against the Reddy community without any reason. He must apologize immediately. The Congress party should also take strict action against him,” the protestors demanded.
Advocate and BC leader Kamalakar, who spoke at the protest, criticized the MLC’s language, stating that it could create division among different communities. Reddy Association president P. Shankar Reddy, Siddanolla Sanjeeva Reddy, and several others took part in the protest.
