In a positive development, the transfer order of L Rama Devi, the Executive Officer of Lord Rama temple, has been canceled. The government decided to allow Devi to continue serving as the EO of the Sree Seetha Ramachandra Swamy temple. This decision brought joy to the people of Bhadradri, who expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the Congress government for halting the transfer.

When the Congress government first came into power, they had issued orders for L Rama Devi to be transferred to the ‘Kisara’ Revenue Divisional Officer. This decision sparked protests from the public and temple staff, leading to demonstrations on the streets. Prominent figures from the temple town and some political leaders appealed to Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka and Ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy to intervene and stop the transfer.

Minister Tummala responded positively and assured the people that the issue would be resolved. Consequently, the government released orders to cancel Devi’s transfer, allowing her to remain as the EO of the Lord Rama temple. The news of this decision spread quickly on social media, with many expressing happiness and praising the government for their action.

Rama Devi, who had previously served as the EO of Vemulawada temple and worked with distinguished IAS officers, implemented various initiatives during her time at Lord Rama’s temple. These included introducing E-ticketing, changing the Laddu Prasadam contractor, improving accommodations, and managing the Central Stores. She also took steps to address issues such as land encroachment around the temple. In her short tenure as EO, she successfully increased the temple’s income and enhanced facilities for devotees.
