Hyderabad Plans Two New IT Parks in Suburbs

Hyderabad: State IT and Industries Minister, D Sridhar Babu, has announced plans to establish two new IT parks in the outskirts of Hyderabad. This decision was revealed during a high-level meeting on Tuesday at the Secretariat with representatives from Dew Software Company, which has proposed an investment of Rs 100 crore. Speaking about the initiative, the Minister highlighted the city’s growing reputation as an IT hub, attracting significant investments from global companies. “To sustain this growth, we have decided to develop two additional IT parks, similar to HITEC City,” he said.

Addressing the challenges industries face in acquiring land, the Minister announced plans to introduce a dedicated land allocation policy. He explained that the current lack of a specific policy has created difficulties for entrepreneurs. The new policy will allocate land based on factors such as the scale of the investment and the number of jobs the project will generate.

Sridhar Babu also welcomed Dew Software Company’s Rs 100 crore investment, expressing confidence that it would create significant employment opportunities in the region. The Minister emphasized the State’s commitment to supporting industries and fostering IT growth in Hyderabad.
