The NXplorers Carnival took place in Hanumakonda, Warangal. It featured over 146 students from Mahatma Jyotirao Phule (MJP) government schools in five districts – Hanumakonda, Warangal, Mahabubabad, Jangaon, and Bhupalpally. The students showcased their ideas in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Out of hundreds of entries, 48 “change projects” were selected for exhibition.
M Manohar Reddy, the Regional Coordinating Officer (RCO) of BCWREIS, praised the NXplorers program for its ability to encourage children to find simple solutions to complex global problems. He commended Smile Foundation for implementing this program and fostering scientific curiosity among students.
Various innovative projects were exhibited at the carnival. One project from MJP School (Girls) in Kazipet demonstrated how biogas can be converted into electricity for household use. Another project from MJP (Girls) School in Peddapur showcased a classroom alert alarm system that automatically switches off lights and fans when students leave the class, saving energy. Additionally, MJP (Boys) School in Kamalapur presented an organic water purification system using corn copper, resulting in energy savings.
