Renowned Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan’s Canada tour has been postponed due to the India-Canada diplomatic row. The tour, called ‘Akhiyaan Udeekdiyan’, was scheduled to have four shows in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, and Winnipeg on October 22, 28, 29, and 31 respectively. The promoters of the show, Gurjit Bal Productions, announced the postponement on their Facebook page and promised to announce new dates soon.
The company expressed regret for any disappointment caused and apologized for any inconvenience. They explained that due to the ongoing diplomatic unrest between the two countries and the unpredictable circumstances, canceling the event was the responsible and necessary action for now. They assured that the refund process for registration fees or ticket purchases would be communicated directly through email, website, or other preferred channels.
Gurdas Maan himself has not made any statement about the postponement on social media. However, he had previously shared a poster with the tour dates and venues on his official Facebook account on September 10.
