Hyderabad: The poll battle is reaching its final phase as the campaign will end in the next seven days. Both the BJP and Congress are trying to outdo each other as they aim to win double digit seats in Telangana.

The BJP is focusing on winning Lok Sabha seats in north Telangana. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address three public meetings on Sunday in Telangana, including one in Hyderabad. The party is confident in retaining its sitting MPs in Adilabad, Nizamabad, and Karimnagar districts. They also aim to win Malkajgiri and Chevella constituencies.

Shah will first address a public meeting at noon in Kagaznagar for Godam Nagesh, the party candidate for Adilabad Lok Sabha constituency. This will be followed by another public meeting in Nizamabad in support of Arvind Dharmapuri. Later in the evening, Shah will participate in a road show in Malkajgiri constituency, which is considered prestigious by both BJP and Congress.

Meanwhile, former AICC president Rahul Gandhi will also be visiting Telangana on Sunday. He is scheduled to address two public meetings, one in Nirmal in Adilabad district and another in Alampur in Nagarkurnool district. This will mark his first campaign meeting in Telangana.
