Senior Congress leader and Telangana Screening Committee Chairman Muralidharan arrived in Hyderabad on Monday. He will be holding a series of meetings with TPCC Chief A Revanth Reddy and other leaders to assess the performance of ticket aspirants and party representatives in the Assembly Constituencies.
Revanth Reddy welcomed Muralidharan at the airport this morning. It is said that Revanth has already prepared a list of 40 candidates. The Screening committee is expected to approve this list by the end of this month. Before finalizing the candidates, the committee will also visit some assembly segments and interact with local leaders.
The Congress aims to finalize the candidates by September as the Election Commission is expected to issue the notification for the Telangana assembly elections in October.
