Suryapet: Minister Jagadish Reddy announced that the great personality, Professor Jayashankar Sir, who dedicated his life for the cause of Telangana, has been immortalized. In a ceremony held at the Suryapet camp office, Minister Jagadish Reddy offered floral tributes to the portrait of Professor Jayashankar Sir, along with MP Lingaiah Yadav. They paid their respects to his service.
Speaking further, they mentioned that Professor Jayashankar Sir played an irreplaceable role in spreading the aspirations of a separate state from the streets of Telangana to the corridors of Delhi. In 1952, he started his entrepreneurial journey with Nan Mulki Industries and later established the Idli Sambhar Gobyak Industries. In 1969, he became an ideal for everyone by stepping into the Telangana movement.
During a time when nobody dared to speak up, Jayashankar Sir fearlessly advocated for the formation of Vishalandhra Pradesh in 1954. He fought vehemently against the injustices and inequalities faced by the students of Telangana. He fought for their rights and against discrimination. He stood up against the misuse of water, funds, and authorities.
CM KCR praised him for truly implementing what he believed in. Professor Jayashankar Sir will forever be remembered for his services.
