Professor Kodandaram, who is an MLC and the Chairman of the State JAC, criticized Chief Minister KCR for claiming that the formation of Telangana was solely because of his efforts. Speaking at a felicitation event at the TNGO Bhavan in Nizamabad, Kodandaram stressed that the creation of the state was the result of the collective struggle and sacrifices of millions of people.

He accused KCR of distorting the history of the Telangana movement for political reasons. He also expressed concern about the disrespect and injustice that many Telangana activists have faced under KCR’s leadership.

Additionally, Kodandaram alleged that the BRS government, during its ten years in power, misused valuable government lands. He pointed out that lands were used for party office constructions, including the Telangana Bhavan in Nizamabad. During the event, he thanked the JAC members for organizing the felicitation and emphasized the need to stay vigilant against the misuse of power.
