    Khammam: The Additional Collector (Local Bodies), Dr. P. Sreeja, held a meeting on Thursday to review the services of the Unified District Information System for Education (UDISE) portal. The meeting included various education officials and focused on ensuring that schools are accurately registering their data on the UDISE portal.

    Officials explained the process of how schools, including primary, upper primary, high schools, and colleges, should register their information online. Dr. Sreeja emphasized the importance of including data from both government and private schools. She urged private educational institutions to cooperate and submit correct information to the authorities for the UDISE portal.

    Dr. Sreeja also highlighted the need to educate private school bus drivers about traffic rules, especially when it comes to the safety of children. She proposed that the Association of Private Schools and the district administration work together to conduct health check-ups for private school drivers and ensure they have valid driving licenses.

    Additionally, Dr. Sreeja suggested starting awareness programs in primary schools to teach children about good and bad touch. She also recommended setting up kitchen gardens in government schools, holding monthly parent-teacher meetings, and using Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) in classrooms to improve education quality.
