Prithvi Shaw, the opener for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023, has had a poor run in the first four games with scores of 12, 7, 0, and 15. He admitted to trying different things in those games, but nothing worked out with the bat. Before the RCB game, Shaw said that he would play his natural game and not try anything new. He also mentioned that it was time for the players to upgrade their skills to improve their performance as a franchise.

Shaw believes that a win can get them into rhythm, and they are approaching the game as a fresh start. Despite losing four consecutive games, the environment within the team is good, and they are like a family. Shaw is on the substitute list and is likely to come on as an Impact Player during the chase at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
