    Indian Railways is working towards modernization and fulfilling the vision of a New India by redeveloping railway stations into world-class establishments. To further this effort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the development of 508 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS) across the country.

    The South Central Railway (SCR), which covers 4 states, will have 50 railway stations included in this development. The General Manager of SCR, Arun Kumar Jain, stated that these Amrit Bharat Stations will provide a new experience for rail users. With modern architecture and world-class facilities, these stations will serve as city centers and prioritize long-term planning. The development of these stations is being closely monitored to ensure timely completion.

    In the first phase of ABSS, the foundation stone will be laid for 21 stations in Telangana, 15 stations in Andhra Pradesh, 13 stations in Maharashtra, and 1 station in Karnataka. The total cost for these developments is nearly Rs. 2.079.29 crores. The ABSS policy aims to continuously modernize railway stations based on a master plan that caters to the increasing needs and patronage.

    Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, railway stations across the country are being redeveloped with state-of-the-art facilities. These redeveloped stations will showcase the diversity of India and provide new amenities for passengers. The scheme includes improvements such as better lighting, parking spaces, infrastructure for people with disabilities, and environmentally friendly buildings using green energy.
