Former US President Donald Trump has been indicted by a federal court in New York, making him the first former US president to face a criminal charge. He is expected to make a court appearance in Manhattan on Tuesday and will also deliver remarks at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on the same day. Trump’s presidential campaign announced the event, which is scheduled for 8:15 PM EDT. Following the indictment, the former president has been attacking both the prosecutor and the judge, alleging that the case is politically motivated. His attorney, Jim Trusty, has also alleged that the indictment is going to be legally frail and that there will be an opportunity for a judge to do the right thing.
