District Collector Valluri Kranti emphasized the importance of the right to vote in the democratic process. She urged everyone to exercise their right to vote properly to contribute to building a strong nation. A training camp was organized for Booth Level Officers (BLOs), Tashildars, MP DOs, RIs, DTs, and Supervisors from several Mandals in Alampur. The training focused on voter registration, additions, changes, and other related topics in SSR2023.
During the camp, Collector Valluri Kranti instructed the BLOs to review the Draft of the voter list released on August 21st. She highlighted the crucial role of BLOs in elections and stressed the importance of transparent voter registration.
In Alampur Constituency, the voting percentage among women above the age of 18 is alarmingly low. The BLOs were directed to ensure that every eligible woman is given the right to vote. They were instructed to enter the names of eligible women in Form 6 and upload it online promptly. The BLOs also have the responsibility to identify and remove any double entries or duplicate votes from their voter lists. To facilitate a smooth voting process, officials were ordered to arrange necessary infrastructure at polling stations, such as drinking water, wheelchairs for elderly voters, ramps, and medical facilities. Additionally, the Revenue officials were instructed to resolve pending issues in the Dharani portal and promptly complete household verification for the Gruhalakshmi scheme.
Several officials including additional collectors Cheerla Srinivas Sagar, Apoorva Chauhan, RDO Chandrakala, Tashildars, MP DOs, DTs, and BLOs from various Mandals participated in the training camp.
