    The officials in Kothagudem district have started preparing for the upcoming ZPTC (Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency) and MPTC (Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency) elections. The draft voter list has been released, showing that a total of 6,81,174 people will be voting. Among them, there are 18,480 more women voters than men. Burgampahad mandal has the highest number of voters at 50,420, while Allapalli mandal has the lowest, with just 9,285 voters.

    To ensure smooth voting, officials have set up 1,253 polling stations. The total number of voters includes 3,31,336 men, 3,49,816 women, 22 female voters (uncategorized), and 23 third-gender voters. These polling stations will be used to elect representatives for 22 ZPTC seats and 236 MPTC seats in the district.

    ZP Chief Executive Officer Nagalakshmi officially released the draft voter list at the ZP office in Kothagudem. She also announced that the voter lists have been made available at Mandal Praja Parishad offices for public reference.

    The State Election Commission and the State Government have instructed officials to be ready for elections at any time. In response, the printing of ballot papers has already been completed, and ballot boxes are being prepared for use.

    At the same time, Zilla Parishad officers are working closely with the police to ensure security at polling stations. Law enforcement officials are identifying high-risk and sensitive polling stations to prevent any disturbances and ensure a smooth election process.
