Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy and Special Commissioner of Agriculture Department Hanmanthu Kodiba held a meeting to prepare for the upcoming Telangana Decade celebrations. The meeting took place at the conference hall on the third floor of DrBR Ambedkar Secretariat on Saturday and was attended by officials and representatives from various agricultural sectors.
Minister Niranjan Reddy spoke about the important role that agriculture plays in Telangana’s economy. He said that around 55 to 60 percent of the population depends on this sector, which provides employment opportunities for many people. He also praised Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for the remarkable transformation of Telangana’s agriculture in the past decade.
The Minister highlighted some of the successful schemes that have been implemented, including Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, and the provision of 24-hour electricity to farmers. These initiatives have boosted the self-confidence of farmers and made Telangana’s agriculture a beacon of success for the country.
