Hyderabad city police have made all necessary arrangements for the State Legislative Assembly elections that will take place on Thursday. The police have put Section 144 in place and instructed people not to gather. After voting, they should return home.
To ensure a safe and secure environment for voters, all Station House Officers have been instructed to remain vigilant and monitor the situation. At each polling station, there will be at least one WPC deployed.
Recently, a briefing was held at the Telangana State Police Integrated Command and Control Center (TSPICCC), where key strategies were discussed with the observers. Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya emphasized the use of advanced technology for surveillance, such as webcasting for real-time monitoring of polling stations.
To prevent any untoward incidents, Central Armed Police Forces will be deployed at the polling stations. In addition to that, micro observers will be present and live webcasting will take place.
Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya announced that Central Armed Police Forces will be stationed at critical polling stations, supported by 391 route mobiles. There will also be 129 patrolling vehicles, 220 Blue Colts, and 122 other vehicles on the field to respond promptly to Dial 100 calls and address any incidents.
The city already has over 45 Flying Squad teams, 45 Static Surveillance teams, and static pickets operational.
