    Prasar Bharati, India’s public service broadcaster, is planning to launch its own OTT (Over-The-Top) platform. This platform will feature 60 entertainment channels. Some of the content will be available for free, while a portion will require a subscription. The official launch is scheduled for November 20 during the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which will take place in Goa.

    The announcement was made by Sanjay Jaju, Secretary of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry. He shared this news while speaking to the media at the 16th edition of the India Game Developer Conference (IGDC). The event was held at the Hyderabad International Convention Center (HICC).

    Jaju also mentioned that the OTT platform will not only offer live channels but will also feature a rich collection of archival material. This includes documentaries and photographs from Prasar Bharati’s archives and the photo division. Discussions are currently underway to finalize the list of channels before the platform’s launch.
