The ‘Prajavani’ program, previously known as ‘Praja Darbar’, had a good response at Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The program was limited to 10 am to 1 pm. The GHMC and other departments made arrangements, including providing wheelchairs for the elderly and physically handicapped. Around 1000 applications were received by afternoon. Forest and Environment Minister K Surekha visited the Praja Bhavan and listened to the grievances from across the state. Security was tight, and people started lining up early in the morning, but they were only allowed entry at 10 am. Applications were accepted until 1 pm. People were not allowed in after the scheduled time due to new rules.
On Monday, the grievance cell received 1141 applications. On December 8, the Praja Bhavan received the highest number of complaints, totaling 4417. This is the second day since the revival of the public grievance redressal mechanism, which aims to address complaints efficiently and reduce bureaucratic obstacles.
