As part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2024, POWERGRID, Southern Region-I, held a Walkathon in the Kavadiguda area today. This event is part of a week-long observance from October 28 to November 3, 2024, organized by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). The theme for this year’s Vigilance Awareness Week is “सत्यनिष्ठा का संस्कार सेरा का समृद्धि,” which translates to “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity.”
The Vigilance Awareness Week was officially launched on October 28 by Shri Akhilesh Pathak, Chief General Manager (In-charge) at POWERGRID, Southern Region-I, in Secunderabad. At the inauguration, employees across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and parts of Karnataka took an Integrity Pledge. This pledge was made both in person at regional offices and through virtual platforms, ensuring wide participation.
The event also featured Mr. Mohan Kanda, a former IAS officer and ex-Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh. He shared his thoughts on ethics and integrity with POWERGRID officials, addressing them both in person and online.
Today’s Walkathon saw a large number of employees take part with enthusiasm. The event highlighted the importance of integrity not just in the workplace but in all areas of life, reflecting this year’s theme.
