The upcoming elections to the Assembly in Warangal West constituency are expected to be affected by a bitter turf war between two strong leaders, Hanumakonda DCC president Naini Rajender Reddy and former DCCB chairman Janga Raghava Reddy. Naini had been hoping for the ticket for a long time, but Janga’s recent move to organize and participate in political activity in Hanumakonda district has led to a complaint being lodged with the TPCC. The Disciplinary Action Committee has warned Janga not to meddle in Hanumakonda affairs and to restrict his activities to Jangaon district and Palakurthi Assembly constituency. However, Janga has expressed his inclination to contest from Warangal West, claiming he is a local and knows the problems faced by the people in the region. Meanwhile, Naini has been loyal to the party for several years and is confident of getting the ticket, with TPCC president A Revanth Reddy having already assured him of a recommendation.
