Former Congress MP Ponnam Prabhakar and his team visited the Kaleswaram Medigadda project to investigate corruption and quality issues. They are concerned about the delay in providing water to the Gauravelli project, which has been awaited by the people of Husnabad for 10 years. Farmers in the Husnabad area are worried about the project’s progress.

Authorities are conducting an inquiry into the sagging of the Medigadda Lakmi Barrage bridge, a crucial part of the Kaleswaram project. Pillars 19, 20, and 21 of the bridge are sagging, and the cause of this structural defect is still unknown.

The Lakshmi Barrage inter-state bridge, which is part of the Kaleswaram lift project, collapsed on Saturday night. The sagging occurred between pillars 19, 20, and 21 of Barrage B-Block, spanning about 30 meters in length and up to a foot in height. The cause of the sagging is still under investigation, whether it’s due to pillars sinking or a fault between the cement and iron beams connecting the barrage gates and the bridge. Engineering officials are looking into this matter.
