Hyderabad: Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has challenged the leaders of the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) to an open debate about their ten-year performance in governance.
Responding to former minister G Jagadish Reddy’s criticism of Congress’s rule over the last ten months, Prabhakar questioned if Reddy was willing to discuss the BRS’s entire decade of rule. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, he asked, “Let the BRS tell the people how many jobs they have created in the past ten years.”
Prabhakar was attending the ‘Meet Your Minister’ program, where he listened to people and party workers and received petitions. He assured everyone that the Congress government is working hard to fill vacancies in government departments. He mentioned that the unemployed are satisfied with the ongoing recruitment process.
He also emphasized that Congress is committed to fulfilling its election promises. However, he accused opposition parties of creating obstacles instead of cooperating with the government. According to him, the opposition is even making threats to topple the government.
Furthermore, Prabhakar remarked that the BRS has not learned any lessons from its defeat in the Assembly elections or the embarrassing loss in the Parliament elections.
