**Khammam:** Senior BJP leader Dr. Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy criticized the Congress government on Friday for not fully implementing its election promises. He was speaking at a district party executive meeting.
Dr. Reddy specifically targeted the farm loan waiver scheme, which is being implemented in installments. He said that many eligible farmers were denied benefits and that the selection process lacked transparency. He also pointed out that the scheme has too many conditions, making it difficult for farmers.
The BJP leader questioned why income tax payers are excluded from the list of beneficiaries. He mentioned that even Singareni workers pay income tax, so why shouldn’t farmers? He accused the Congress of making big promises to defeat the BRS but failing to keep them.
Dr. Reddy noted that many farmers don’t have white ration cards because no new ones have been issued in the past 10 years. He suggested that the government is trying to reduce the number of beneficiaries and criticized CM Revanth Reddy for not understanding farmers’ problems.
He urged the district BJP committee executives to strengthen the party by launching the Chalo-Booth Abhiyan and promoting Central government programs and achievements.
The meeting concluded with several resolutions, including praising the NDA government’s victory and condemning the misrule of the Congress government.
