    The Information and Public Relations Minister, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, stated that his government is focused on helping the poor and fulfilling all promises made to the people. It has been seven months since the government took office, and they are making sure to deliver on their election commitments. Reddy emphasized the government’s dedication to the well-being of journalists.

    A delegation of media professionals from Sri Lanka visited Reddy at the Secretariat during their two-week training program on media management at Dr MCR HRD Institute. The visit was sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs. Reddy highlighted Telangana’s rich cultural heritage, natural resources, and advancements in technology. He also discussed the government’s initiatives to support journalists in the state.

    The minister outlined recent government decisions, including loan waivers, free housing for the poor, bus travel for women, free electricity up to 200 units, and affordable cooking gas cylinders. He engaged with journalists about their experiences in Telangana and commended MCR HRD for training international journalists on new technologies like AI.

    MCR HRD director-general Shashank Goel shared information about the institute’s programs and training on media technology advancements and challenges. The Sri Lankan journalists expressed appreciation for their reception and the valuable training they received. They described the experience as enriching. I&PR Commissioner Hanumantha Rao and other officials attended the meeting to support the delegation.
