Former Member of Parliament and Co-Chairman of the Telangana Congress Campaign Committee, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, addressed the public on Thursday, urging them to remove the allegedly corrupt KCR government in the upcoming elections. He made these comments at the end of a padayatra led by K Sudhakar Reddy in the Sathupalli district.

Srinivas Reddy praised Sudhakar Reddy for covering a distance of 140 kilometers over eight days, passing through five mandals from Tallada to Sathupalli, all within the Sathupalli assembly segment.

Critiquing the BRS government, Ponguleti emphasized that it had failed to fulfill its promises regarding the welfare of Dalits, farmers, and other sections of society. He questioned the government’s track record on job creation and asked about the support for the unemployed and land allocation for Dalits that had been promised.

He promised that if the Congress party is elected, they would uphold their six-guarantee scheme, ensure social justice declarations, support backward classes, and tackle unemployment. The Congress government would work towards creating job opportunities for the youth, establishing more engineering colleges, and providing Indiramma houses for the homeless.

Ponguleti condemned recent remarks made by a ruling party Member of Legislative Council (MLC) about the Congress party and government officials, stating that these comments showed the BRS government’s disregard for the bureaucracy.
